The “Tillie Walk,” produced by the professional Centenary Stage Company, traced the steps of Tillie Smith on her last night alive, before her notorious murder in 1886. Following a path which painted a picture of Hackettstown in the late 1800s, the walk is led by costumed actors with historical narration featuring the old “Shields Hall, ” the site of the old “American Hotel”, The Trinity Methodist church, Victorian architecture, and Centenary College, among many sites.
