The Lackland Performing Arts Center

The Centenary Stage Company moved to The Lackland Performing Arts Center (located at 715 Grand Ave. Hackettstown, NJ) in August 2010. With a 22,000 square-foot performance space, the facility is the most sophisticated performing arts venue in northwest New Jersey. The center includes a state-of-the-art 500 seat theatre (Sitnik Theatre), a black box theatre (The Edith Bolte Kutz '42 Theatre), a dance studio, scene shop, a costume shop, green room and dressing rooms. In addition to housing the theatre, the 68,000 square-foot Lackland Performing Arts Center is home to a variety of cultural activity, including WNTI, the University's internet radio station, CCTV, Centenary University's Comcast-licensed television studio, and gallery space for visual artists.

Named in honor of Carol Burgess Lackland, a Centenary graduate (class of 1954), and her husband, David A. Lackland, a Centenary University Trustee, The Lackland Performing Arts Center, was designed to enrich student life and bring new cultural opportunities to northwest New Jersey. The facility has been one of the most ambitious additions to the campus in over 100 years, and has been the home of Centenary Stage Company since 2010.

In addition to the many events produced by Centenary Stage Company throughout the year, The Lackland Performing Arts Center serves as a cultural hub for the Skylands Region and its venues are available for rental pending availability. Contact the CSC Administrative at (908) 979 - 0900 to inquire.
