Performers Workshop (YPW) 2013 Spring Festival Of Shows May 31 - June 9, 2013 Centenary Theater (aka The Little Theater) The Centenary Stage Company's Young Performers Workshop presents their Spring Festival of Shows with a week full of musical favorites. The Spring Festival of Shows will run May 31st through June 9th at the Little Theatre on the campus of Centenary College in Hackettstown. YPW is dedicated to the enrichment of young lives through experience in the theatre arts, and serves as a venue for cultivating young theatre performers between the ages of 8 and 18. The young performers devote their weekends over a 13 week time-frame rehearsing challenging dance numbers and learning complex vocal arrangements to create a memorable theatre experience for all audiences to enjoy. In July Paragon Ragtime Orchestra Sat., July 27, 2013 / 8pm Sitnik Theater of the Lackland Center Tickets/Ordering Print Schedule Venture back to the big easy with the musical group Paragon Ragtime Orchestra on the Centenary Stage July 27th at 8 pm. The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra is the world's only year-round, professional ensemble re-creating "America's Original Music" - the syncopated sounds of early musical theater, silent cinema, and vintage dance. Since 1989 the Walt Disney Company has relied on the Orchestra's recordings for the outdoor theme music heard at Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland, Disney World, and Disneyland Paris; the PRO strengthened its international following during its extended engagement as a U.S. Ambassador of Goodwill at the 1992 World's Universal Exposition in Seville, Spain. |

In July West Side Story New Jersey Youth Theatre (NJYT) August 2-11, 2013 Sitnik Theater of the Lackland Center Tickets/Ordering Print Schedule To close out the summer season is the return of the New Jersey Youth Theatre (NJYT) and their production of West Side Story which runs August 2nd - 11th. On the mean streets of New York City, two gangs are in a long-lasting duel. The Sharks, a Puerto Rican gang, grapple with the difficulties of assimilating into American society. The Jets, the "American" gang, want to resist newcomers entering their territory. |
