Curtain Up! with Paul Reiser

A seasoned actor, writer and producer, Paul Reiser continues to add to his list of accomplishments. Having co-created and starred in the critically acclaimed NBC series MAD ABOUT YOU which garnered him multiple Emmy, Golden Globe, American Comedy Award and Screen Actors Guild nominations, Reiser returned to television last year in the FX series MARRIED.

While developing several television projects which he will write and produce, Reiser is currently starring in the Amazon coming-of-age series "Red Oaks" for producer Steven Soderbergh.  Not one to abandon his roots in stand-up, in between projects Reiser tours the country performing to sold out venues and was recently voted one of Comedy Central's “Top 100 Comedians of All Time."

It's been said that if you take Andrea Bocelli, Sammy Davis Jr., and Billy Crystal and put them together you get Tony Pace. His one-man, semi-autobiographical show, dubbed "Up On the Roof," combines musical-comedy, stand-up, and impressions to create a wonderfully entertaining and interactive package that recalls legendary entertainers such as Sammy Davis Jr. and Danny Kaye.

Alaska's Fiddling Poet: Portrait of an Artist as Santa Claus

Waldman brings a show that is one-part Appalachian-string band concert, one-part riveting storytelling, one-part poetry reading, and one-part early Christmas gift exchange. Aside from some of the standards Waldman likes to perform, he will change it up each night promising no two performances will be alike! Waldman will be joined by multi-instrumentalist Brian Vollmer, a banjo player, fiddler, and guitarist. Waldman's tales of Alaska, which includes surviving a plane crash, have been highly praised. Some lucky audience winners will even walk-away with giveaways by the artist.

A musical documentary theater adventure by grandchild and bandleader Eve Sicular. From klezmer to Kodaly to jazz, baroque to boogie-woogie to gospel, from Hazel Scott’s cancelled TV show to derelict theories of homosexuality, exploring surveillance files leads in even more directions than the Department of Justice could have foreseen. NYC-based ISLE of KLEZBOS approaches tradition with irreverence and respect. The soulful, fun-loving powerhouse all-women’s klezmer sextet has toured from Vienna to Vancouver.

Family dynamics can be the source of endless comedic material, as is the case in this year's Susan Glaspell Award winner, “In the Car with Blossom and Len” by Joni Fritz. In this funny and poignant new play,  a basket full of unpaid bills for chemical engineer  Lenny Gold’s laboratory is discovered by one of his adult  daughters,  unveiling a lifetime of secrets, a mysterious silent partner, and a few other challenges which must be met by this family.   “In the Car..” is a delightful family saga  about growing up, growing older and where you put the keys.

Playwright Joni Fritz  has worked in theatre and television as a writer and actress, with appearances in NYC and regional theatre, film, television and commercials.   Her writing credits run the gamut from theatre to videos, documentaries , and sketch comedy for USA Network. Most recently, Joni's play "Girl's Room," starring Broadway legends Carol Lawrence and Donna McKechnie, directed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett, enjoyed successful runs in NY and LA.  Her work has been seen in several theatres in the NYC area, including Ensemble Studio Theatre, the Women’s Theatre Company and Dreamcatcher Rep.  She is a member of AEA, SAG-AFTRA and the Dramatist Guild, and resides in Pompton Plains, NJ .
