Prospective students in Theatre Arts have three opportunities that are presented by Centenary Stage Company, your professional not-for-profit Equity theatre in residence at Centenary College.  

Youth Programs

Young Performers Workshop (ages 8 - 18)
Young Performers Workshop is dedicated to the enrichment of young lives through experience in the theatre arts, and serves as a venue for cultivating young theatre performers between the ages of eight and 18. The program is one of only a handful in the nation that offers both formal training and production experience for young people.  (more...)

TYRO Theatre Program (ages 6 - 8) and
Tyro II Theatre Program (ages 9 - 11)
The Tyro Theatre Program and the new Tyro II Theatre Program meet Monday through Friday, in structured theatre activities focused on expression, confidence building, imagination and fun, little performers will learn acting games and perform improvisations inspired by fairy tales. (more...)

Acting Classes

Acting Classes
The professional Centenary Stage Company (CSC) offers a series of acting classes, open to the public, that we started offering in Fall 2000. The classes include the Actors Lab for Adults and Actor's Lab for Young Thespians (ages 13 - 18). If we're between schedules, please submit your name, email address and postal address along with your request for more information on the upcoming acting class of choice. Dance Classes

Summer Dance Intensive
The Centenary Summer Dance Intensive offers classes in ballet, yoga for dancers, modern, jazz, musical theatre dance, Chinese, improvisation and strength training for dancers 13 and older.    (more...)

Conservatory of Dance
Conservatory of Dance offers dancers 14 years of age and older affordable, high-quality dance training. The Dance Conservatory is designed to introduce dancers to professionals who are currently working as choreographers, dancers, and educators in the disciplines of modern, ballet, jazz, tap, and beginner dance.

Internship Program
The Centenary Performing Arts Guild is currently accepting applications for a new Internship in Education and Creative Dramatics. (more...)

Centenary College Theatre Degree
The Centenary College Theatre Degree is one of the first where students can earn credits toward membership in the professional union of actors, The Actors Equity Association, while pursuing an academic degree.  Of particular interest is the students opportunity to develop these skills in conjunction with the Centenary Stage Company. (more...)

If you’ve ever wondered how the folks in ABC’s popular comedy show “Whose Line is it Anyway” got so funny, the Centenary Stage Company may have the class for you. Beginning Feb. 19, 2007, the Centenary Stage Company will again offer an 8-week Comedy Workshop for the public (back by popular demand).
