CSC Young Performers Bring More Holiday Fun to Hackettstown
Hello Dolly! A Chorus Line The
Boy Friend
The Centenary Stage Company’s Young Performer’s Workshop Winter Festival of Shows culminates in a festival
of musical family favorites. This year’s selections will include Hello Dolly, A Chorus Line and The
Boy Friend. The Winter Festival of Shows will run December 8th through the 16th at the Centenary Little Theatre
in Hackettstown.

Hello, Dolly!
The loveable matchmaker, Dolly Gallagher Levi, is back in town to work her magic! A meddlesome matchmaker brings together
the young clerk of a wealthy Yonkers merchant and his assistant with a widowed milliner and her assistant, while making
sure she herself gets to marry the merchant, in Jerry Herman and Michael Stewart's musical adaptation of Thornton
Wilder's play The Matchmaker. Original production directed and choreographed by Gower Champion.

A Chorus Line
Broadway gypsies bare their souls and put their lives "on the line" as they audition for an unnamed Broadway
musical. A Chorus Line provides a glimpse into the personalities of the performers and the choreographer as they describe
the events that have shaped their lives and their decisions to become dancers. Book by James Kirkwood and Nicholas Dante.
Original Broadway play conceived, directed, and choreographed by Michael Bennett. Co-choreographed by Bob Avian. Music
by Marvin Hamlisch with Lyrics by Edward Kleban.

The Wizard of Oz
In continuing the tradition of CSC’s 2010’s musical production of Oliver! and 2011's musical production
of A Christmas Carol, The Musical, the Centenary
Stage Company production of The Wizard of Oz celebrates all the theatre programs of the Centenary
Stage and, though not a YPW event, will include a number of Young Performers in its production. The production details

page. It takes place in the Sitnik Theater of
the Lackland Center.
Program Director
Led by Broadway, film and television veteran Michael Blevins the YPW is an intensive professional
theatre training camp for young people, featuring concentrated training by a professional staff in the disciplines of acting, voice, tap and
theatre dance.
Young Performers Workshop Program
The YPW is part of the educational arm of the professional Centenary Performing Arts Guild, offering conservatory style
theatre training for young people ages 8-18 in three sessions each year. Led by Broadway (Tap Dance Kid), Film (A
Chorus Line) and TV (Tony Awards) veteran Michael Blevins,
the Young Performers Workshop is now in its thirteenth year and has been hailed by the Star Ledger as “the best
kids troupe around.
