In 2011, CSC celebrates nineteen years of serving exciting new women playwrights from around the country! Join us this year
and be the first to hear four new works by dynamic women authors. Let your voice help shape the play as you interact with the
playwright and cast during the lively audience "talk-back" session. The WPS is a developmental program dedicated
to providing a working forum for the under-served and unique voice of women writing for the theatre today.

A love affair, a bomb, an interrogation - Who was using whom?
~ A sizzling mystery
This year’s Series opens with a compelling mystery, The English Bride, by NJ Playwright
Lucile Lichtblau. Following a failed bombing attempt on an El Al flight out of London, the search for the truth becomes
an elusive chase in the interrogation of the young Englishwoman and the Arab man with whom she has fallen in love.

Is there an app to deal with the demands of 'social friends'? A witty, urbane tale of the complexities of modern life.
The Centenary Stage Company Women Playwrights Series continues this month with a deliciously modern urban tale by
Cheri Magid called Dumporama. When busy NewYork newlyweds find themselves oversubscribed to an endless stream
of social obligations, their efforts to carve out time for themselves set off a series of madcap events and remarkable
revelations about the fast-paced times we live in. "Dumporama" will be directed by Mikaela Kafka.

The final presentation of the Centenary Stage Company Women Playwrights Series confronts the ambiguous nature of truth.
When a professor is accused of a unthinkable crime, the mounting pressure causes his wife to question whom to believe.
"Dark
at the Center" by Deborah Savadge will be presented Wednesday, Apr 20 @ 7:30 PM in the “Little Theatre”,
located in the main Seay Administration Building on the campus of Centenary College in Hackettstown.

Free Writing Workshop
Sat., Apr. 2, 2011 / 1pm
As part of the Playwright Series activities, a free playwrighting class with PEN
Award-winning playwright Michelle Carter will be offered for the public on Sat., Apr. 2, 2011 at 1 PM. Carter is the
author of How
to Pray which makes its World Premiere on the Centenary Stage this month. Reservations are required for the writing
workshop and can be made by calling 908-979-0900 x5.

About Women Playwrights Series The
CSC Women Playwrights Series is dedicated to providing a working forum
for the unique and underserved voice of women writing for the theater today. The Series offers emerging playwrights a chance
to work with professional directors and actors in a short rehearsal period, followed by a staged reading of the work in front
of a live audience, with audience feedback and discussion.
Each presentation features:
Staged reading of the work
Lively "talk-backs" with the playwright and cast following the performance
Refreshments for all
Now celebrating its 20th year, the Series features the finalists in the Centenary Stage Company Susan Glaspell contest,
which offers the winner further development support worth $30,000 in a full production on the CSC professional Equity
main-stage, as well as a cash payment to the author.
