December Concert: CAROLING! CAROLING!
A concert to warm the heart against a backdrop of snow and crystalline, starry nights. Christmas and other holiday music in
traditional and contemporary settings. Arrangements by the noted American composer, Katherine Hoover, of several European
traditional carols for Chorus and Brass Quartet. Christmas spirituals and gospel songs. And an audience sing-along of beloved
carols.
About The Pocono Choral Society
The Pocono Choral Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching community culture through quality performances
of a variety of choral music. Begun in 1981, PCS has grown to over 50 musicians, performing throughout the region for many
years. Since 1984, the PCS has toured several times and performed throughout Europe, with noted performances in Scandanavia
and the British Aisles. In December 1995, the PCS debuted in New York City and in Atlantic City, and more recently, joined
the New York Choral Society, Uncle Yao's Chorus and the Zhi Yin Chorus for a performance of the Yellow River Cantata at the
Lincoln Center, Avery Fisher Hall.
