Professional Equity Presentation

By George Feydeau
Adapted by Charles Morey

In Belle Époque Paris, "one, tiny, little, hardly noticeable lie" to cover an innocent but embarrassing indiscretion results in a cascade of increasingly convoluted deceptions, mistaken identities and more slamming doors than realistic architecture should ever accommodate.

Some Reviews from Previous Seasons

Loose Knit - 2009-10 Season
   "...it was terrific."
"Nicely staged, excellent cast and Rebeck’s a great writer. She makes you think as hard as you laugh."
"The professional Centenary Stage Company has nailed its last main-stage production of the season."

                                            William Westhoven/DailyRecord.com

Underneath The Lintel - 2009-10 Season
'...with Dennis’ work as worthy of view as Schiff’s (and, it’s worth pointing out, available for roughly
half the price). Even those who saw “Lintel” at George Street should find new delights in this production.'
                                            William Westhoven/DailyRecord.com

The Clandestine Marriage - 2009-10 Season
"Taking an old play and putting it in a new setting is a risky business. Director Carl Wallnau and the
Centenary Stage Company have pulled it off handsomely in their current production, "The Clandestine Marriage."

Sheila Abrams, Contributing Writer, Recorder Community Newspapers

Christmas at the Small Empire Music Hall
- 2008-09 Season

"As a director, Rickman shows he's researched what these shows looked like
way back when. But he and Tiedemann display something far more
important: They aren't mocking, or even spoofing this entertainment of
yore. They're just putting it out there one mo' time for us so we can
discover what our great-great grandfathers enjoyed, and find that we can
get a kick out of it, too. "

                                   Peter Filichia, The Star Ledger

Daphne Does Dim Sum - 2007-08 Season
"Like our favorite Chinese food, the play is warm and comforting, but not without
an occasional spicy bite to lend it character...Chan's play provides a soothing
    sustenance."
                                            Recorder Newspapers

Quartermaine's Terms - 2006-07 Season
"There isn't a weak link in the cast... Director Carl Wallnau goes to the head
of the class with this one."

                                            Peter Filichia, Star-Ledger Staff
