It's Christmas Eve and it's only 105 degrees in the shade. Welcome to French Guiana where an unlikely holiday comedy is about to unfold. The Centenary Stage Company will present an unusual seasonal treat when My Three Angels hits the boards in Hackettstown from Nov. 23 through Dec. 9, 2007.
This “completely captivating comedy” (Philadelphia Inquirer), written by Sam and Bella Spewack, takes place on a tropical “Devil’s Island” where paroled convicts from the local penal colony move about with relative freedom in the community. When three inmates working on a roof overhear that impending disaster lies ahead for the bumbling but kindly store manager, Felix, and his family, the kind hearted criminals set about to put their own "particular" skills to work to rescue the Ducotel family. "Our world is just like yours," they tell Felix, "except that we were caught!" With the help of their pet, Adolph - a poison snake who inadvertently gets loose at one point - and a belief in true justice, these three improbable angels achieve a happy Christmas for all in the end.
Centenary Stage Company Invites Families To
Spend A Night Together With Pizza And A Show
The Centenary Stage Company invites families to celebrate the beginning of the
holiday season with an evening out together, enjoying
a performance at CSC and the opportunity to win a free pizza with every theatre ticket purchased.
CSC and community advocate Tommy Shiano of Mama’s Pizza & Café Baci
team up to offer a special holiday raffle during the performances of My Three Angels. At the intermission of
each performance, a ticket stub will be drawn from those purchased that night, and one lucky ticket-holder will win
a certificate for a free pizza to be redeemed at Mama’s.
