The Centenary Stage Company will launch its 2007-08 season with the hysterical classic comedy School for Wives by Moliere. Arnolphe, a middle aged business man has decided the only way to avoid being a cuckold, is to marry a very stupid woman. He chooses an innocent girl and locks her away in a convent for thirteen years, so she will be ignorant and unspoiled. Needless to say, things don't quite work out that way. School for Wives is a perfect gem of confusion, hope, and the agonies of love.

Playwright:   Molière
